United Way offers a free child care referral service that is available to families in Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Gilpin, Jefferson, and Park counties.

We provide consumer education in the selection of child care and a list of referrals to licensed child care providers in the area of the family's request.

Metro Denver
There are four ways you can search for child care in the metro area. You can dial 2-1-1 or 303-561-2244 or email 211.childcareoptions@unitedwaydenver.org or search online.

United Way's 2-1-1 Child Care Options does not recommend or endorse the facility listings contained within the online database.  Parents are strongly encouraged to visit each child care facility under consideration, request references from other parents and carefully review the provider license and the most recent report of inspection.

Outside Metro Denver

Child Care Resource & Referrals (CCR&Rs) help families by providing referrals to child care, education about the quality and availability of care, and financial assistance information. Working within their communities, CCR&Rs identify early care and education needs, and they focus on enhancing the quality and availability of services through recruiting, training, and supporting child care providers.

In a unique partnership, Mile High United Way’s 2-1-1 Child Care Options, the Denver Early Childhood Council’s Resource & Referral and Child Care Innovations at Red Rocks Community Collegecollaborate to provide CCR&R services in the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Gilpin, Jefferson, and Park. We are a division of Qualistar Early Learning.
