| Examples of Possible Opportunities |
One on one direct client services
These types of volunteer projects typically require an extended time commitment ranging from six month to a year. Background check is required, and some form of formal training with the specific agency is mandatory. They involve activities such as becoming a mentor, a tutor, a coach etc.
Family friendly or small group
These types of volunteer projects are typically on weekends and tend to be related to small events. For example, planning a Halloween party or organizing meals to be delivered or distributed.
Large corporate groups
These types of volunteer projects can be on weekdays or weekends depending on indvidual corporate time guildelines for volunteer work. A project can range from 4-8 hrs and is a great asset for agencies needing large projects that require a group of 30 or more. |
Note: Each volunteer project will have a specific set of requirements:
number of volunteers they can accommodate
time of day they must operate their services
recommended age group as well as date restrictions
