Mile High United Way Women’s Leadership

As a woman leadership giver, you are recognized as a member of Women’s Leadership at Mile High United Way.  Participate in an effort to empower women as philanthropists, expand volunteerism and increase resources to the community.

In 1887, Frances Wisebart Jacobs, a member of the Denver Ladies’ Relief Society, joined religious leaders to form what is now United Way. Her vision that collectively our power can yield tangible solutions lives on.

Why it’s important for women to work together

83% of family financial decisions are made by women.
Women comprise 46% of the total U.S. labor force.
Women have equal or majority ownership of 52% of all privately held businesses in Colorado - this comes to $23 billion in sales and 186,730 employees.
Conversely, 60% of United Way recipients are women and girls.

Women's 104 Leadership Circle

The Women’s 104 Leadership Circle is a group within Women’s Leadership that focuses on support for Mile High United Way’s transformational housing programs. These programs offer housing for formerly homeless families, and require residents to participate in intensive financial literacy and savings programs.  After five years, the residents have the assets and the knowledge to purchase their own home.

We invite Mile High United Way’s Women’s Leadership to give an additional $104 in order to become a member of the Women’s 104 Leadership Circle.  Our goal is to raise $750,000 for transformational housing programs over the next four years.

If you are interested in becoming a Women's 104 Leadership Circle member, click here to make your $104 donation.  If you have questions, contact Cheryl Lucero at 303-561-2352.
