Mile High United Way invests in three critical, interrelated areas: School Readiness, Youth Success and Adult Self Suffiency in order to meet the needs of people of all ages and in every stage of their lives.

School Readiness Initiative - Set the course for success!
Help young children in low-income families enter school ready to succeed and prepared for a lifetime of learning. 
Step up your gift and see how many young minds you can inspire!

You can provide 15 preschoolers with a quality learning environment. |
| Silver $2,500 |
You can provide 10 parents with the skills, resources and knowledge to support their children’s social and academic development. |

You can provide specialized training to improve knowledge and skills for five early childcare educators. |

Youth Success Initiative - Engage and motivate in school!
Invest in programs that help school age, low-income and underserved youth succeed academically, graduate from high school and transition to college or advanced training.

You can provide five students with quality after-school programs for six months. |
| Silver $2,500 |
You can provide 40 students with tutoring and college preparation assistance for one month as they make their plans for higher education. |

You can match one student with a caring adult mentor for six-months. |

Adult Self Sufficiency Initiative - Empower individuals and families to succeed!
Provide low-income individuals and families with the opportunity to move toward economic self-sufficiency.
Step up your gift and see how many lives you can change for the better!
| Gold $5,000 |
You can provide one adult with a comprehensive scholarship that helps pay for tuition, books, fees, materials and even childcare so they can make the most of their education and training in preparation for moving into the workforce. |
| Silver $2,500 |
You can provide up to three adults the opportunity to earn their GED and the chance to move onto higher educational opportunities and better jobs. |
| Bronze $1,000 |
You can provide 20 individuals with emergency shelter for one night to keep them safe and warm. |

Mile High United Way Led Programs- We take the lead to develop innovative strategies or services in order to address unmet needs. |

 Grow Your Gift Through Tax Credits
With your donation to Mile High United Way you can take advantage of tax credit programs that enable you to give more, receive something in return and possibly multiply your gift in the process.
When you give a minimum gift of $500 by check or credit card to an eligible United Way agency or project, you will receive either a 25% or 50% tax credit from the state. For complete details and a listing of eligible agencies.
* Federal tax deduction is lowered because of the add-back effect of reduced state tax.
