Mile High United Way maximizes the collective strength of our community by coordinating with government, non-profits and other community resources to deliver long-term solutions.
For example, with our Brunetti Lofts partnership, we assembled a vast array of community partners to create our community’s first “transformational housing” program.

A beautiful new apartment building located in the LoDo neighborhood, Brunetti Lofts allows struggling families to pay a discounted rent, which goes toward savings for a future down payment on a house. Residents are required to take classes in financial planning and home ownership, so after five years of living at Brunetti Lofts, they’ll have the education and the assets to buy their first home.
Mile High United Way maximized the resources of numerous community members to build Brunetti Lofts. Developer Charlie Wooley of the St. Charles Town Co. donated the lot in LoDo, US Bank donated $50,000, the city’s Housing and Neighborhood Development provided $210,000, the state’s Division of Housing provided another $230,000. Many individuals in the community helped out tremendously, too, led by Wayne and Molly Brunetti’s $100,000 gift that was matched with another $100,000 from the Excel Energy Foundation.
