Give where you live and create opportunities for all
We rely on the generosity of supporters like you to power our work. We did some amazing things this past year – but we have so much more to do to make Metro Denver stronger, safer, healthier, and more united. Your year-end gift to Mile High United Way can help improve the lives of families and individuals right here in Metro Denver.
Thanks to you, this year we were able to help people like the Johnsons find food, shelter, and child care.
When this family of three called Mile High United Way’s 2-1-1 Help Center, they had been living in their car for a few months, bathing in public restrooms and looking feverishly for jobs. The Johnsons were able to enroll their 3-year-old daughter in Early Excellence, a quality child care center funded by Mile High United Way. She thrived with a stable daily routine, fresh-cooked meals, and a comfortable place to nap. Thanks to Mile High United Way, the Johnsons found than temporary housing, food, clothing and job placement tools: they found hope.
To help more families like the Johnsons in 2016 and beyond, we rely on community supporters. Generous community members, like you, are critical to everything we do.
Your support makes it possible for us to deliver vital direct services, invest in quality programs, conduct important research and evaluation, inspire volunteerism and encourage philanthropy.
Gifts to Mile High United Way are invested in proven programs that ensure:
- Children enter school ready to succeed and are reading at or above grade level by the end of third grade
- Youth graduate from high school ready for post-secondary education or the workforce, and
- Individuals and families have their basic needs met and are afforded every opportunity to move toward economic success
When you give to Mile High United Way, you may also take advantage of charitable contribution tax credits that enable you to give more, receive something in return and possibly multiply your gift in the process. You can chose from two tax credit programs – Denver Enterprise Zone (DEZ), to help increase the economic viability of individuals and families and Child Care Contribution Credit (CCCC), to help increase the quality and availability of child care in Metro Denver.
