Individual Volunteerism

Two women volunteering

Volunteer as an Individual or with Friends

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
–Winston Churchill

In 2012, 1.32 million Coloradoans volunteered over 160 million hours of service as reported by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Mile High United Way offers hundreds of volunteer opportunities for everything from our events (listed below) to community-wide volunteerism.

Volunteering for Special Events

These are great volunteer opportunities for individuals or groups to help at a Mile High United Way special event and be a part of something huge! Mile High United Way needs volunteers to help make the following events a success:

Project Homeless Connect

This event helps homeless individuals in our community connect to resources such as housing, ID services, and healthcare. There are a variety of volunteer positions to choose from.

Project Homeless Connect 15 is on November 3, 2016. Check out volunteer positions at this event!

Mile High United Way Turkey Trot

On Thanksgiving Day, the best way to give thanks is by giving back to the community! Volunteer positions include helping with set-up, registration of runners, water distribution, and much more.

The 43rd annual Turkey Trot will take place on November 24th, 2016. See volunteer opportunities and sign up

Children’s Holiday Party

Help Mile High United Way make the holiday season bright for underprivileged kids in our community. Volunteers help with cookie decorating, crafts, face painting, gift wrapping and more.

The Children’s Holiday Party is on December 10, 2016. Please check back for volunteer positions at this event!
